CSIR NET December 2025 Registration Underway; Subject-wise eligibility criteria
NTA has started CSIR NET December 2025 registration through the official website. Candidates shall check their eligibility and fill out applications on or before October 25, 2025.

The registration for CSIR NET December 2025 is ongoing, and NTA will be accepting applications till
October 25, 2025
. Eligible candidates shall register themselves before the last date and prepare for the exam to be held on December 18, 2025. The exam will be held for Physical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean & Planetary Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Life Sciences, and Mathematical Sciences. Candidates qualifying the CSIR NET exam will be eligible to apply for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Lectureship/Assistant Professor. Before filling out the registration form for CSIR NET December 2025, candidates shall note the detailed eligibility criteria here:- For General, Unreserved, or General-EWS category candidates from accredited universities or institutions who have earned at least 55% (without rounding off) in a Master's degree or an equivalent test are eligible.
- Also, for OBCs from the Non-Creamy Layer, SC, ST, PwD/PwBD categories, a minimum of 50% is required in the qualifying exam.
- Candidates who have taken their qualifying Master's degree (final year) exam and are still awaiting their results, candidates who are studying their Master's degree or an equivalent program, and candidates whose qualifying exams have been postponed may also apply for this test.
- Candidates who have completed a bachelor's degree program that lasts four years and eight semesters should have at least 75% of the possible points, or its equivalent grade. A 5% relaxation will be given to the reserved category candidates.
- Candidates for JRF must not be older than 30 on the first day of the month the exam is held, which is December 2025. Candidates in the OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD, PwBD, and third gender categories, as well as female applicants, are eligible for a relaxation of up to five years.
- However, for Assistant Professor and Admission to PhD, there is no age limit.
