CUET PG 2026 Exam in March: Why NTA is taking more time to finalise exam dates?
CUET PG 2026 exams are scheduled for March, with an expected start around March 11. The NTA's delay in finalising dates is due to managing 150+ subjects, thousands of CBT centers, and student city preferences. NTA will likely announce the detailed datesheet and City Intimation Slips together.
CUET PG 2026 Exam in March: The National Testing Agency is currently managing the massive logistical task for the conduct of CUET PG 2026, scheduled for March. While students are waiting for the official datesheet, the delay is mainly due to the huge scale of the exam. With over 150 subjects to cover, ranging from sciences to humanities, the NTA must carefully plan the schedule to ensure that students taking multiple papers don't have overlapping exams. This requires high precision and a significant amount of time, and this can be a probable reason why NTA is taking more time to finalise exam dates.
Another reason can be the challenge of managing thousands of Computer-Based Test centers across the country. NTA has to double-check that every single center is technically ready and has enough seats for the specific number of students assigned to each subject. With a tight 10–12 day window and exams running in three shifts per day, the agency is doing its best to prevent technical glitches and make sure every student gets a fair shot on exam day.
NTA is also trying to be "student-centric" by placing candidates in their preferred exam cities. Handling millions of data points to keep travel distances short is a tough job. Because there are so many moving parts, NTA will likely announce the detailed datesheet and the City Intimation Slips at the same time. This "all-in-one" update will give students a clear view of exactly when and where they need to be.
As we get closer to the expected start date of March 11, 2026, the NTA is running final "stress tests" on its software to avoid any errors. For now, the best thing to do is stay focused on exam preparation. The combined announcement might be out soon, giving students the clarity they need to finalize their travel and study plans.
