GATE 2025 Paper-Wise Qualifying Marks (OUT)
IIT Roorkee has released GATE Qualifying Marks 2025 for all 30 papers along with the results of the candidates. Open category cutoff for CSE is 35.8 and that for Mechanical is 29.2. Check out GATE 2025 paper-wise qualifying marks for all categories here.
GATE 2025 Paper-Wise Qualifying Marks: IIT Roorkee has released the GATE 2025 qualifying cutoff marks for all of the 30 exam subjects along with the release of results on March 19 via the rankcards of the candidates. This year, the GATE 2025 cutoff for the CSE paper is 35.8 marks for the open category while that for ME and ECE papers are 29.2 marks and 25 marks, respectively. Additionally, the CSE cutoff for the OBC category and SC/ST candidates are 22.5 marks and 16.6 marks. It is also important to note that the cutoff for Mathematics, EC and EE subjects is the same for the general category in GATE 2025.
Candidates are also asked to refer to the previous two years' cutoff of their preferred college so that they can compare their chances of getting admission with their marks range before appearing for the counselling. In 2024 and 2023, the GATE cutoff for CSE was 27.6 marks and 32.5 marks respectively for the general category candidates. Whereas the cutoff for ECE in 2024 and 2023 was 25 marks and 29 marks respectively.

Like the previous years' trends, the GATE 2025 general category cutoff for all the papers is higher than the other categories. The GATE cutoff for BT, BM and MN subjects is the highest among the rest of the subjects, which is 40. Whereas the GATE cutoff for MA, EC and EE subjects is the lowest and the cutoff is 25.
