Printed GATE 2026 Admit Card: Your primary entry document. It must be printed clearly. The name on your admit card must match your photo ID exactly. If you used prefixes (Mr./Shri/Dr.), note that the official rule states these should not be used, and your identity will be verified based on the core name.
Photograph: Ensure your printed admit card displays the same good-quality image used during registration. The photo should show a clear frontal view of the face with a white background. If the printout is blurry, carry a physical copy of the same photo.
Signature: The Good Quality Signature image you uploaded in PDF/JPEG format will be the "Master Signature" used for all identity checks.
Category (SC/ST) Certificate (For Verification): Candidates who uploaded a scanned copy of the Category (SC/ST) certificate in PDF format during registration should keep a copy accessible. While primarily used for application processing and scorecards, it acts as a secondary ID proof if your primary ID is questioned.
Original Valid Photo Identity Document (ID): You MUST carry the same ID, in original, that you scanned and uploaded during the application process. The name and Date of Birth on this ID must exactly match the details you entered in the GATE 2026 application form. Valid IDs include Aadhaar Card, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, or Driving License.
PwD / UDID Certificate (If Applicable): If you applied under the Person with Disability category, you must carry the scanned copy of the UDID (preferred) or PwD Certificate in original to the center. This is required to verify any special arrangements or compensatory time.
Dyslexic Certificate (If Applicable): Candidates who uploaded a Dyslexic Certificate during the application must produce the original document to the center officials.
Relevant Annexures for Scribe/Compensatory Time: If you require a scribe or compensatory time, you must carry the original physical copies of the Relevant Annexures as specified in the GATE 2026 information brochure.
