GITAM Organises Panel Discussion on Women Entrepreneurship

  • Over 50 budding female entrepreneurs take part in panel discussion on ‘Women Entrepreneurship’ organised by GITAM.
  • Chairperson of GITAM Women Entrepreneurship Cell, Professor P. Sheela headed the panel discussion.

TheWomen Entrepreneurship CellatGITAM(deemed to be university) organised a panel discussion on ‘Women Entrepreneurship’on March 06, 2018. Over 50 students, who are interested in pursuing their career as women entrepreneurs took part in the panel discussion. Chairperson of GITAM Women Entrepreneurship Cell, Professor P. Sheela, headed the panel discussion. Head of Entrepreneurship Department, Dr. Manjusree Naidu coordinated the programme.

During the panel discussion, the budding women entrepreneurs realised that thestart-up friendly environmentof the central government is a boon for female entrepreneurs.

Stating the panel discussion, Professor P Sheela, pointed the new generation women across the globe played a dominant role in overcoming all the hurdles and proved their potential in all aspects of life, including the most cumbersome and intricate world ofentrepreneurship. India is bestowed with talented and fearlesswomen entrepreneurswho have made an impact for themselves in India as well as abroad, she highlighted.

Noted women entrepreneurs also participated in the panel discussion to share their ideas and experience. Some of the women entrepreneurs took part in the panel discussion were: -

  • Managing Director of Novel Patent Services, A. Himabindu
  • Director of Sagardurga Developers Private Limited, K. Deepika
  • Founder of LB Agro, Geetha Sreekanth

Expressing their ideas, the eminent women entrepreneurs pointed that commitment towards the selected domain, lateral thinking, strong inclination towards continuous learning and networking are the key factors for success. Therefore,budding female entrepreneurswill have to work by keeping taking these factors into consideration. A strong family support will be an added advantage to the emerging female entrepreneurs, they opined.
