Gujarat University Ph.D Admission 2025 Registration: Gujarat University’s Ph.D admission process for 2025 is concluding today, July 31, 2025. Registration for the Ph.D. entrance test and admission began on July 17, with candidates required to complete the online application through the university’s designated portal. The window for submitting applications and the payment of the non-refundable registration fee of Rs 1,000/- is set to end at 11:59 PM. Following this, a provisional merit list of eligible/ ineligible candidates for entrance exam or exemption from it, will be released on August 4, 2025 at 4 PM. Reporting to concerned department for any discrepancy in eligibility or other queries to be done on August 5, 2025 during office hours only. Revised provisional list will be displayed on August 6, 2025 for eligible/ ineligible candidates fo entrance exam or exemption from the same. The tentative date for downloading of admit card for PhD entrance test is August 7, 2025. Entrance test for Gujarat University Ph.D Admission 2025 is scheduled to be held on August 12 from 12 PM to 2 PM.

Gujarat University Ph.D Admission 2025 Registration: Important Instructions

• If you have questions about any subject, please contact the Subject Department at Gujarat University.
• If you want to apply for a Ph.D. in more than one subject or a combined subject, you must take and pass the entrance test in the subject you want to study. You can check which subjects you are allowed to apply for on the university website.
• On the day of the PhD entrance exam, you must bring your Hall Ticket and a valid photo ID.
• The exam has 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Questions 1 to 50 are about Research Methodology, General Analytical Skills, Mental Ability, Reasoning, and English Communication. Questions 51 to 100 are about the specific subject you chose. There is no negative marking, so you won't lose marks for wrong answers.
• After you finish the exam, you must give your answer sheet (OMR) and question booklet to the invigilator before leaving the exam hall. You are not allowed to take the question booklet with you. If you do, you will be disqualified.
• You should keep a printed copy of your completed online application form ready, along with the original and photocopies of these documents to present during Viva Voce or personal interview:
  • Marksheet of your Bachelor’s degree
  • Marksheet of your Master’s degree showing the subject and exact percentage (without rounding or extra grace marks). If your marksheet does not show this, provide a certificate about your actual marks.
  • Caste certificate (for reserved categories like SC/ST/SEBC/EWS) issued by the Gujarat State Government for the current year (2025-2026).
  • Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (in Gujarati) issued by the Gujarat State Government for the current year (2025-2026), if you belong to SEBC category.
  • Disability certificate (if applicable), issued by a government hospital.
  • Provisional Eligibility Certificate from Gujarat University if your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is from any other university. You must bring this at the time of admission.
