ICSE English Literature (English Paper 2) exam 2026 took place on February 20 from 11 AM to 1 PM. CollegeDekho received reviews from students through the Google form link provided on theICSE English Literature Answer Key 2026. After analysing the responses submitted by 69 students, it can be concluded that the paper was 'Moderate', but at the same time, it was 'Lengthy'. Around 22 students indicated that the MCQs were difficult, and around 12 students indicated that few questions were time-consuming as they required a lot of thinking. The direct reviews shared by students are provided here.

Rakshan from Chennai said 'The paper was quite lengthy with many questions in each subdivision. Many questions were of the think and answer type with our own analysis'. This student has rated the paper as 'Moderate', but felt that the paper was pretty time-consuming. Aditi from Bhagalpur shared,'MCQs were quite difficult, but the overall paper was moderate'. This student expressed a concern that she might lose marks in the MCQ section due to the high difficulty level of the questions.

Rupa from Kolkata shared 'the paper was tough for me because some questions are lengthy and difficult. Even the MCQs part was confusing'. This student hoped that she scores well despite losing few marks in the MCQ section. Disha from Kolkata shared a different opinion on the question paper. She said 'mostly direct questions and from our materials provided by teachers, the paper was very easy for me. However, some questions required more thinking, and they seemed lengthy'.

Jahnavai from Hyderabad shared'the paper was doable and easy. It was just thinking-based questions required more time. Apart from these, the rest of the questions are on expected lines and doable'.

As per the above student reviews, it is quite evident that the paper is lengthy. According to the English subject expert of CollegeDekho, the paper was easy to moderate. Questions like 'what were Julius Caesar's dying words, Anthony's funeral speech, sequence of events in With the Photographer and the mood of the poem - The Great Walls etc were pretty direct. Students might have felt the paper as 'Moderate' due to the lengthy nature of some questions.
