IIM Calcutta has introduced the Advanced Programme in Smart Manufacturing Leadership to empower professionals with expertise in Industry 4.0. This unique eight-month programme targets senior professionals, CXOs and entrepreneurs.
IIM Calcutta launches Advanced Programme in Smart Manufacturing Leadership: The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM Calcutta) has announced the launch of its “Advanced Programme in Smart Manufacturing Leadership” (APSML). This eight-month programme is targeted at mid- to senior-level professionals working in manufacturing, supply chain, operations, engineering, and related domains. According to IIM Calcutta, the course will provide participants with a curriculum covering areas such as smart manufacturing systems, digital supply chains, operational excellence, data-driven decision-making, and sustainability in manufacturing.
The APSML was introduced in collaboration with VCNow Executive Education to address the growing need for leadership-ready professionals as India’s manufacturing sector aspires to contribute 20% to the national GDP by 2035. The course, commencing in September 2025, requires a bachelor’s degree (minimum 50% marks) and at least three years of professional experience. Participants will gain insights from IIM Calcutta’s renowned faculty and industry experts, resulting in a certification and Executive Alumni Status.
The programme will be delivered in a hybrid learning format, combining online interactive sessions with on-campus immersion at IIM Calcutta. Participants will benefit from faculty-led sessions, industry case studies, simulations, and collaborative projects that reflect real-world challenges in smart manufacturing. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certification from IIM Calcutta, strengthening their career prospects and leadership readiness in the era of smart industries.
Applications are open where candidates must register, provide academic and professional details, and submit documents like degree certificates, marksheets, and a resume. Applicants must complete the online form, upload documents, and pay a non-refundable application fee of INR 2,000 via the payment gateway. Selection is merit-based, with interviews for shortlisted candidates. The programme fee stands at INR 3,50,000 plus GST, with installment and loan options available.
