IIM Sambalpur Inaugurates First-Ever Batch of B.S. Programme: IIM Sambalpur has recently launched two cutting-edge undergraduate programmes, B.S. in Data Science & Artificial Intelligence, and B.S. in Management & Public Policy, in alignment with the National Education Policy 2020. The inaugural batch, comprising 178 students from over 20 states, marks a significant milestone for the institute and higher education in India.

IIM Sambalpur B.S. Program Details

1. Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Data Science & AI: 88 students, with 69 males and 19 females, were admitted through JEE (Main) 2025, with the highest admitted rank being 44,645. The average Class 12th score of admitted students is 90.5%.
2. Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Management & Public Policy: 90 students, with 51 males and 39 females, were admitted through CUET (UG) 2025, with top scorers achieving a 99.80 percentile. The average Class 12th score of admitted students is 88.2%.

Curriculum and Objectives

• The programs are designed to develop responsible leaders with a balance of academic rigor, innovation, and social responsibility.
• The curriculum is aligned with top universities like MIT, Stanford, Harvard, and Carnegie Mellon University.

• Ratnesh Jha, Executive Director, UN Global Compact Network India, congratulated IIM Sambalpur for excellent NIRF rankings 2025 and successful inauguration of the first batch of the B.S. Programme.
• Prof. Mahadeo Jaiswal emphasized the importance of nurturing four kinds of intelligence: IQ, EQ, PQ, and SQ, for holistic growth.
