Jammu University Granted Rs 2.50 crore to Set up their own Engineering College
- The main agenda of setting up an engineering college in the state is to provide aspirants adequate opportunities.
- The state will be implementing new changes and introducing new infrastructure and facilities.
TheJammu and Kashmir governmenthas given a green signal to theUniversity of Jammuto set up their own engineering college. The varsity is granted Rs 2.50 crore for the same as the initial grant-in-aid for the start of the new college.
As per theJ&K stateEducation Minister Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari the main agenda of setting up anew engineering collegein the state is to provide aspirants with an adequate opportunity within the state. As most of the candidates do not find enough opportunities to develop and grow their career due to which the move to another part the country for bettercareer opportunities.

He also stated that the state government is to make changes in the existing education system. They will be implementing new changes and introducingnew infrastructureand facilities for the overall development of the students.The state government came to the decision after it was decided to keep the two engineering colleges in Ganderbal and Kathua under theRashtriya Uchchattar Shiksha Abhiyan scheme.

The colleges in various districts of the state like Ganderabal and Kathua are already functional with 60 seats each. The prime focus of the government is to rework the existingeducation systemof the state and make it compatible with present days education systems so that the candidates arejob-readyand have enough exposure and training about various sectors.
