The management of Pragathi Degree College, Kakinada in collaboration with Vikas Organization conducted a job fair on 1-June-2016. A total number of 10 reputed companies took part in the job fair. The job fair was open for B.Sc./ B.Tech/ MBA pass outs of 2013-2016 academic years. Job fair was inaugurated by the College Chairman, N Purna Chandra Rao.
The job fair received a grand response as a total number of 540 candidates participated in the event. Each company followed its own procedure of interview. In general three rounds of interview were conducted which included a preliminary written test, group discussion/ technical round and a personal interview. Out of 540 candidates 60 candidates secured jobs.

Selected candidates were given appointment letters by MLA of the region, V. Venkateswara Rao. He congratulated the selected candidates and wished them for their bright career. Selected candidates are offered annual packages ranging from Rs. 1, 50,000 to Rs. 3,00,000. Candidates were congratulated by the college management and company officials. The job fair received a grand appreciation from local residents.
