MHT CET 2026 to be Conducted Twice; Maharashtra adopts JEE Mains policy, best score to be considered
MHT CET 2026 exam will be held twice from the academic session 2026-26. One exam will be held in April and the second is on May. The official detailed notice will be available soon on the official website.
MHT CET 2026 to be Conducted Twice: It is a fair chance for the aspirants from Maharashtra to appear twice for the MHT CET exam from the upcoming session, like the JEE Mains exam model. The State CET Cell of Maharashtra has declared that the CET examinations for three courses, such as PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics), PCB (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology), and MBA, will be held twice from 2026. So the candidates will have two chances to improve their performance.
According to the Higher and Technical Education Minister of Maharashtra, Chandrakant Patil, has announced that the first CET exam will be conducted in April 2026, and then the next exam will be scheduled a month later. The detailed official notice will be declared soon by the CET Cell. It is not mandatory for all candidates that they need to appear for both exams. They can either appear for anyone or they can apply for the exams for two times. So that they can tally their marks and move forward with the higher scores.
As per the official Maharashtra State Cell statement, a review meeting was conducted under the chairmanship education minister. At that meeting, the chief secretary of the higher and technical education department B Venugopal Reddy; the commissioner of the CET Cell Dilip Sardesai, the director of the technical education department, Vinod Mohitkar, the director of higher education, Shailendra Devlankar, and other officials were present.
Along with the MHT CET, the officials are also planning to begin this two-attempt exam structure for the MMS CET too, soon. So that the candidates will not face any hassle for admission to any postgraduate management course. For further details, the candidates are advised to keep an eye on the official website.
