Acharya Nagarjuna University Degree examinations commenced on 9-April-2016. As a part of examinations students of various streams attended Mathematics, Commerce, Botany and Physics examination on 11-April-2016. Students were shocked after reading the question paper as there were numerous mistakes in it. This shows the negligence of University in conducting the examinations.
Mistakes identified in final year Mathematics paper-III and IV:
- Printing mistakes were identified in mathematics paper-III. The errors were identified in 6, 10, 12(A&B), 14(A) and 15(B) questions. The total weightage of these questions is 48 Marks. Printing mistakes in these questions concerned students a lot as they did not get proper solutions for the problems given in question paper.
- In Mathematics-IV paper, printing mistakes were identified in Section –B 10, 11 and 12 questions. The total weightage of these sums is 28 Marks.
Mistakes in final year Commerce question paper:
- In Commerce question paper, question numbers 9,10,12,13 were out of syllabus. The total weightage of these questions is 40 Marks.
Mistakes in the second year Physics Paper:
- In Physics paper-IV Part-A 1st question and Part-C 18th question are completely wrong. The weightage of these questions is 20 Marks.
The University has taken a decision to add these marks at the time of evaluation. But only half marks will be added at the time of evaluation. The University has already issued directions for evaluators to add half marks. Whereas the students and parents criticized the University authorities for its negligence in preparing question papers. Students demanded that full marks must be added but University accepted to add half marks.
