The conference at Indian Institute of Technology - Patna is an attempt to re-live the characters of Shakespeare in relations to the changing social functions then & now and to stimulate researchers to carry out more investigation in this particular field. This would not only re-establish the reliability of this legend but it would also exhibit the various features of gender studies.
The conference at the IIT has invited scholarly papers, reviews, research articles, deliberations, and the posters on any of the following sub - themes that have been closely related with Shakespeare’s plays:
• Gender and Power
• Gender and Political Constructions
• Submissiveness and Dominance
• Virtues and Vices
The instruction for the students who seek to participate :
The Presenters have to keep in mind that the abstract length should not exceed 500 words. The full paper's length must not exceed the limit of the 2000 words. Both, the Full Paper and the abstract are to be preceded by a 50 words bio-note of the concerned author. The full papers must stick to the MLA style for Documentation. The topics are:
• Language and Gender
• Catharsis of the Protagonist
• Love and Betrayal
