Gauhati University is organising a National Integration Camp (NIC) at Gauhati University campus from. 24-30 April, 2016 under Gauhati University NSS cell.
The programme is fully sponsored by Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, Govt. of India. Altogether 200 NSS volunteers and 10 NSS Programme Officers from 10 different states of India will take part in the NIC camp.
The participating states are Maharashtra, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram, Sikkim, Tripura, Assam. The Chairman of NSS Cell, Gauhati University, Honourable Vice-Chancellor Dr. Mridul Hazarika desires to extend all kinds of support to make this programme a grand success. Two (one male & one female) NSS volunteers will be nominated by the programme officers to represent Gauhati University. Selection of the volunteers will be done on priority basis. Many eminent personalities and students from all over the country are expected to participate in this week-long event and share a common platform where they will exchange ideas and views on national integration, peace and harmony.
