NEET UG Counselling 2025: The Medical Counselling Committee has released an official notice regarding the NEET UG Round 1 Counselling resignation 2025 on the official notice. The authority has opened the round 1 seat resignation window from August 21, 2025, which will be closed on August 25, 2025 (at 5 PM). Due to many reasons, the authority received several requests from the UG aspirants who want to resign their Round 1 already reported seats. Hence, the competent authority has allowed the candidates to participate in the resignation process without forfeiting the security deposit. They can leave their round 1reported seat on or before the last date and time.

NEET UG Counselling 2025: Important Instructions regarding Round 1 Seat Resignation

Follow the important instructions related to the NEET UG round 1 resignation 2025 here in the given section:

  • Candidates who joined the allotted institutes and obtained a seat confirmation letter, but now want to resign from their allotment, only those seat allottees should report to the colleges and obtain the resignation letter.
  • However, if the candidates have not obtained a seat confirmation letter, they do not need to go to the allotted college for the resignation purpose. Instead, they have a provision of free exit, which means that if the candidates do not want to report to the allotted colleges, they will not be penalised. For them, the security deposit will not be forfeited
  • To resign the seat, the candidates should report physically to the allotted college
  • Candidates must ensure that their resignation letter is generated in online mode (provided by MCC) by the allotted medical institute
  • If the candidates fail to resign their seats on or before the last date, then their resignation will be treated as “Null and Void”
