NIRF Overall Ranking 2025 LIVE Updates: The Ministry of Educationhas released the NIRF Rankings 2025 today, September 4, 2025. As per the schedule, the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has announced the overall and category-wise NIRF rankings 2025 at 11 AM at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Post that the authority will publish the top-listed colleges' names and the other details on the official website- nirfindia.org for each category.

This year, the authority has declared the NIRF rankings for 17 different categories, such as overall, colleges, Universities, Engineering, Research institutions, Pharmacy, Management, Medical, Law, Pharmacy, Dental, Agriculture and Allied Sectors, Open University, Architecture and Planning, Innovation, SDG or Sustainability, State Public University, Skill University. Both in 2024 and 2023, IIT Madras secured the first position in the NIRF overall ranking. Similarly, the NIRF second ranking in 2024 and 2024 was also the same, and it was IISc, Bengaluru.
