NIRF Rankings 2025
for NIRF State Public University Ranking 2025 has been made public by the Ministry of Education today, September 4, at 11:00 AM. The top 200 state public universities in India will be listed among them. The other institutes are categorised into the 101-150 and 151-200 bands, while the top 100 institutes will have their own rank. Students can view the list of all state public colleges that are ranked in the NIRF 2025 State Public University category by visiting this live blog.
The State Public University Ranking has been incorporated in the NIRF rankings from 2024. In 2024, Anna University from Tamil Nadu was ranked 1st with 78.14 score. Jadavpur University, West Bengal and Savitribai Phule Pune University, Maharashtra, were ranked 2nd and 3rd with 77.74 and 70.26 scores, respectively. Other universities ranking in the top 10 are Calcutta University, Panjab University, Osmania University, Andhra University, Bharathiar University, Kerala University and Cochin University of Science and Technology.

NIRF State Public University Ranking 2025: Andhra University bags the 4th Position
Andhra University, Vishakhapatnam, is placed at 4th position in NIRF 2025 rankings, leaping from the 7th position as per NIRF 2024 rankings under the State Public University category. In 2024, the National Institutional Ranking Framework placed it 25th among universities and 41st overall in India. In terms of pharmacy rankings, NIRF also placed Andhra University College of Pharmaceutical Sciences 34th in India.

Panjab University, Chandigarh, has jumped two positions from 5th rank in NIRF 2024 to 3rd position in NIRF 2025 rankings. Punjab University is placed 60th overall, 35th in research, 38th among universities, 92nd in management, 7th in pharmacy, and 27th in dentistry in India's 2024 National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) rankings.

NIRF State Public University Ranking 2025: Jadavpur University at Rank 1
Jadavpur University, West Bengal, jumped one position higher from 2nd position to 1st in NIRF Ranking 2025. The university was placed 22nd in the engineering category by IIRF 2024 and 17th overall by NIRF 2024.
