NIRF Universities Ranking 2025 (OUT) LIVE Updates: Full list of top universities and colleges
NIRF Universities Rankings 2025 were announced on September 4. IISc Bengaluru has attained the top spot, surpassing JNU and Manipal Academy of Higher Education. Get the full list of the NIRF Universities Rankings 2025, which includes rankings from 1 to 100, 101 to 150, and 151 to 200, here.

The Ministry of Education released
NIRF Rankings 2025
for universities on September 4, 2025.
This year, the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, has secured the top position in university rankings, maintaining this status for the past two years.
Additionally, Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi has secured the 2nd rank, maintaining its position for the last two years. The 3rd position has been attained by Manipal Academy of Higher Education in Manipal, which comes as a surprise, as it has surpassed Jamia Millia Islamia.
Last year's top universities were led by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, followed by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and Jamia Millia Islamia, ranked second and third, respectively. The rankings evaluate institutions based on teaching, research, graduation outcomes, and perception. This year's rankings will cover 15 categories, and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has announced the results at a live event in New Delhi.
