NIT Warangal to offer Free GATE Exam Coaching to SC, ST Students; Steps to apply

NIT Warangal offers Free GATE coaching to SC/ST students: The National Institute of Technology, Warangal (NITW) has invited applications for the free GATE coaching through NITW SC/ST Cell for eligible SC/ST students from NIT Warangal as well as for SC/ST students of nearby district engineering colleges. This unique gesture is aimed at invigorating its students, belonging to underrepresented communities, to take the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) and to enable them to fight through financial constraints to acquire quality coaching.

The 8 weeks duration coaching programme will be held from November  17, 2025, to January 9, 2026 (every Saturday, 5 PM to 9 PM) on the NIT Warangal premises. These lectures also include Weekly tests to monitor the improvement and problem-solving efficiency.

Discipline and consistency are key to the success of this initiative, and attendance will be heavily monitored. The institute has also made it clear that students can have their admission to the programme cancelled if they skip four consecutive sessions. To promote regular attendance and participation, students with 90–100% attendance will be formally acknowledged by the institute.

Eligibility Criteria for Free NIT Warangal GATE Coaching

The students who wish to avail NITW Free GATE Coaching need to fulfil the following conditions

• Students must belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) or the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category.
• Must be currently pursuing the 3rd Year (3/4) or 4th Year (4/4) B.Tech in any branch of Engineering.
• Eligible students should be from NIT Warangal or the nearest engineering colleges.

Steps to Apply for Free GATE Coaching at NIT Warangal

• Visit the NITW official website nitw.ac.in,

• Download the official application form from the NIT Warangal SC/ST Cell notification

• Enter Personal, academic and category details.

• Attach required documents …

  • Authentic Student ID card

  • Caste Certificate issued by the Competent Authorities

  • GATE 2025 Application Form

  • Any documents to support as notified

• Enter the GATE 2025 application number if already registered.

• Submit the filled form to the SC/ST Cell, NIT Warangal, before the deadline.

• Wait for confirmation/selection intimation from the institute.
