Nagpur University Issued Notice for 3% Reservation of Differently-Abled

RTM Nagpur University has issued a notice to all the colleges under Nagpur Univeristy regarding reservation of differently-abled students. The reservation will also be applicable for hostel facilities as well. This will help students to reduce the physical efforts of travelling to the colleges daily as it's difficult for them with the challenging conditions.

RTM Nagpur University issued this notice with reference to Government order 2016/92/5 for Physically Challenged students. Nagpur University also mentions in the notice that the above measures should be strictly implemented by the colleges and will have to submit a report regarding the same.

The Nagpur University was established on 4 August 1923 with six affiliated colleges and 927 students. During 1947, the number of students increased to about 9000 accompanied by the improvement and diversification of curricula and expansion in the range of subjects. The expansion of the library and sports facilities occurred during these years for the intellectual and physical well-being of the students.

This decision of RTM Nagpur university is heartily welcomed by all the students. College authorities also welcomed the decision of Nagpur university and willing forward to implement it in their institutions. With the implementation of this rule, we only hope that the disparity faced by differently-abled students can be resolved.
