Psychology sessions at Mahant Darshan Das Mahila College

A team of psychoanalysts would visit MDDMC (Mahant Darshan Das Mahila) College to hold some counselling sessions with the students from April 25, 2016.

Muzaffarpur, Bihar-based psychoanalysts Mr. Gaurav Kumar and Ms. Asmita Tiwary are likely to lead the team that would speak to students who have to register the complaints in written form. Senior professor Ms. Shakila Azim would supervise the special cell that was set up for the cause.

The students who wish to enrol for the sessions will be kept anonymous i.e their details would remain anonymous. The guardians of the pupils would also be asked to attend the psychological sessions, as there have been cases where families do not allow their daughters to pursue higher studies.

The initiative has been named as “Man Ki Awaaz”. The College principal Mrs. Mamta Rani has said that she was worried about the no. of students skipping exams & dropping out in the midway from a course over petty issues.

The student said that if the initiative is executed well, it could prove to be a very big achievement.

The psychoanalysis would mainly focus on the doing away of any kind of complexes and the reserves inside the students in order to achieve all round development.
