It is expected to move west-northwestwards over the southwest and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal for the next 12 hours, followed by a northwestward and then north-northwestward movement. The storm is likely to intensify into a severe cyclonic storm by the morning of October 28, 2025, and cross the Andhra Pradesh coast between Machilipatnam and Kalingapatnam around Kakinada during the evening or night of October 28 as a severe cyclonic storm with maximum sustained wind speeds of 90-100 kmph gusting to 110 kmph.
Due to this storm, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal areas are expected to experience heavy rainfall, strong surface winds, and rough sea conditions on October 28, 2025.
