Paper 1 also featured the subtopics of Online Learning and Digital Initiatives, reflecting the education trends of today. A question on Higher Education Bodies and Recognition Authorities was asked to know about the bodies that regulate these. There were also two questions from the ICT section, and the Logical Reasoning question was based on analogy. A question was also related to an Environmental Summit, marking the current affairs preparation as useful.
In general, they felt that Paper 1 was balanced out between the different topics and was not too long. They said the paper was more scoring and an aspirant with basic preparation in teaching aptitude, reasoning, and current affairs can fetch good marks.
Besides the General Paper review, Shift 1 Life Sciences (Paper 2) feedback for Shift 1 was also reviewed as moderate to tough by aspirants. According to the reviews, about 40% of the questions were direct, and the rest of the questions were indirect and based on application, which needs thorough conceptual understanding.
The Mathematical Aptitude section had a question from a number series with 3 to 4 questions overall, and in the ICT section, asked questions on HTTPS, internet protocols and one on a management tool. About skill-based education, a query was raised from the Higher Education System. Based on the weightage, Teaching Aptitude carried 4 to 5 questions and Research Aptitude was major weighage that contained 5 to 6 questions including 1 questions on thesis style and format, 1 question on SWAYAM and MOOCs that is on-line mode of learning & research mode of learning, rest of the paper was found to concept driven which can be termed as good favouring the candidates with clear understanding rather than rote learning.
For TS SET Paper 2 Shift 2(Telugu subject), the response was otherwise. On the basis of three reviews, the exam was rated as 'moderate' to 'tough'. Questions from literature-based resources were dominant in the paper, and many students expressed that it was time-consuming. Time management was a big problem, especially for questions that focus on either a text or on featuring in-depth knowledge of Telugu literary theory or practice.
The Day 1 Shift 2 of TS SET 2025 was simple and overall balanced, so it may result in slightly high cutoffs, and the tougher nature of Paper 2 Telugu could spoil the entire performance. More reviews from other shifts and subjects are awaited for a better understanding of the difficulty level of this exam and cut-off trends.
