DU Admissions: Online Applications Facilitate Cyber Cafes to Mint Money

If the online admission process of Delhi University has helped the students it also gave the Cyber Cafe owners an good opportunity to do brisk business. Some of the Cyber cafe owners are taking the lead role of filling the form and charging a hefty amount of Rs 500 to Rs1000 for each registration form filling.
Unable to cope with exorbitant charges, even a number of students are turning to the political helpdesk. “But these political help desks remain very crowded every time. It is very difficult to reach them. The cyber cafes are also demanding hefty amount. I am really confused,” said Kunal Sharma , an aspiring student.
Due to the lure of lucre and covering maximum students' forms most of the cyber cafe owners are filling the forms in haste and as a result, they committing lots of mistakes while filling the form.
“I had to fill up the form for the second time from a political helpdesk as my form was not filled up properly by the cyber cafe owner. I was helpless and somebody told me to approach political helpdesk," said Ritesh Kumar another aspirant.
Several students organisations affiliated to leading political parties have set up their helpdesks as to help the students. These help desks are addressing aspirants’ confusion, they are filling up the students' forms and also making an online payment on their behalf after accepting cash from the students. Prominent amongst them are -
RSS’s student wing Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad and AAPs Chhatra Yuva Sangharsh Samiti (CYSS), Congress-affiliated National Students Union of India (NSUI).
The political party affiliated students' union are eyeing university's polls, which are conducted a few weeks after the admission process is over. They are trying to woo the students through their good samaritan works.
