UGC NET December 2025 Exam Date: For the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test, the National Testing Agency has announced the official UGC NET December 2025 Exam Date on October 12. Aspirants are advised to note that the exam will be held from December 31, 2025, onwards in two shifts: Shift I (9:00 AM to 12:00 PM) and Shift II (3:00 PM to 6:00 PM). According to the subject-wise schedule, exams will be conducted; therefore, candidates should prepare accordingly. The admit cards will mention the exact exam date and exam time, along with other essential exam day instructions. Eligible candidates should follow the schedule below and submit their application forms before the deadline to appear for the exam.

The UGC NET is administered using computer-based testing, or CBT. Papers 1 and 2 make up the UGC NET test pattern. There are multiple-choice questions (MCQs) on both papers, as required by the test design. Candidates must finish both papers in a single three-hour session. There will be 50 questions for 100 marks in Paper 1 and 100 questions for 200 marks in Paper 2. It is a total of 300 marks question paper. Paper 1 will include topics from Teaching Aptitude, Research Aptitude, Mathematical Reasoning and Aptitude, Comprehension, Logical Reasoning, Communication, Data Interpretation, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), People, Development, and Environment, and Higher Education System. However, paper 2 will include subject-specific questions only.
