UGC NET December 2025 Examination Schedule: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the UGC NET December 2025 Subject-wise Exam Schedule. Here is the schedule for the UGC NET subject-wise exam days, so that you can prioritize your exam preparation. Subject-wise exam dates for December 2025 have been mentioned in the detailed time table, which is released through PDF on the official website of UGC NET, showing the day and shifts along with the exam schedule.
The UGC NET December 2025 exam will be held in a Computer-Based Test (online) mode, conducted from December 31, 2025, to January 7, 2026 , in two shifts, i.e., Shift 1 (09 AM to 12 PM), Shift 2 ( 3 PM to 6 PM) . It is conducted to assess the merit of the candidates for the recruitment as an Assistant Professor and for the grant of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in universities and colleges in India. The exam will consist of two papers - Paper I is on general teaching and research aptitude and is the same for all candidates, whereas Paper II is discipline-specific, which tests the comprehensive knowledge of the subject selected. There is no negative marking, so candidates can answer all questions without penalty.

According to the UGC NET December 2025 subject-wise date sheet, some of the major examinations are dated accordingly, such as Law and Social Work will be held on December 31, 2025, and Computer Science and Applications (MCA) on January 2, 2025. Other subjects like Political Science on January 6, 2027, and then Economics on January 7, 2025.
