UPSC Engineering Services 2026 Notification to be released on September 17
UPSC is all set to commence the UPSC Engineering Services 2026 recruitment on September 17, along with the release of notification. Along with the notification, the UPSC Engineering Services Application Form 2026 link will also be activated on the official portal.
UPSC Engineering Services 2026 Notification: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is all set to publish the notification PDF for UPSC Engineering Services 2026 recruitment. As per the official calendar shared by UPSC, the notification is scheduled to be released on September 17. Along with it, the UPSC Engineering Services Application Form 2026 link will also be activated on the official website of UPSC- upsc.gov.in. Aspirants will be required to submit their application online in order to appear for the examination. The last date to fill out the UPSC Engineering Services 2026 Application Form is October 7. The preliminary examination will be conducted by the commission on February 8, 2026.
The UPSC ESE 2026 exam is conducted by the commission to recruit Engineers for Grade A (Gazetted) positions in the disciplines of Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering. The exam assesses the candidate's in-depth knowledge across General Studies, Engineering Aptitude, and Core Engineering Subjects of the respective engineering disciplines.
Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology in the related fields and who fall in the age group of 21-30 years are eligible to sit in this examination. The official notification PDF will provide complete details about the exam, including important dates, vacancy break-up, eligibility criteria, selection procedure, etc. Candidates belonging to UR/OBC/EWS categories need to pay an application fee of INR 200, while SC/ST/PWD/Ex-Servicemen/Female candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.
The selection process for UPSC ESE 2026 exam includes the prelims exam, followed by Mains exam and personality test. The prelims exam will consist of two papers, i.e., Paper 1 (General Studies and Aptitude) and Paper 2 (Specific Discipline). Paper I is worth 200 marks while Paper II is worth 300 marks, totalling 500 marks for the exam. The incorrect answers will get a negative marking of 1/3 mark.
