NEET PG Counselling 2025 : The start date for NEET PG counselling 2025 is eagerly awaited by medical aspirants. According to FAIMA, the counselling is likely to begin by mid-October. However, the Medical Counselling Committee has not yet published the counselling schedule. A recent update on social media suggested that the counselling might start by the last week of October, but given that the Supreme Court hearing is on October 28, the counselling might stretch and get delayed until the first week of November.
The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear the NEET PG 2025 transparency case on October 28, 2025, which challenges the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences for providing only question IDs and answer keys instead of full question papers. The NBEMS has cancelled the results of 22 candidates due to unfair means, and the candidature of Shrushti Bomanahalli Rajanna has been cancelled pursuant to the disposal of WP NO. 5785-2/2025 before the Karnataka High Court.
Meanwhile, some states such as Telangana, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, and Kerala have commenced the NEET PG state counselling 2025 process for admissions to 50% state quota seats in MD/MS, DNB programs in government and private medical colleges for the 2025-2026 academic session.
Aspirants are distressed over the prolonged delay in admissions and are outraged about the alleged data leak. A major data breach has reportedly exposed personal details of over 1.38 lakh NEET PG 2025 aspirants, including names, contact information, application IDs, and roll numbers, with the information allegedly being sold online for Rs 3,599. Users have expressed disappointment over the delay in NEET PG counselling, with one user saying, "Very unfortunate and shameful that NEET PG 2025 eligible candidates are still suffering from the pathetic action of the government." Baba Farid University of Health Sciences has started NEET PG counselling 2025 for MD/MS, PG diploma courses on its official website.
