Appear in CUET PG 2026, then register separately at jnuee.jnu.ac.in. Fill the application form, enter CUET PG scores, select up to three programme preferences, and pay the fee. The portal closes at 11:50 PM on June 15 — no extensions.
Stage 2 — Merit List and Pre-enrolment
JNU prepares merit lists by combining CUET PG 2026 scores and applicable deprivation points. No interview or viva voce is conducted. When your name appears in any list, log in to jnuee.jnu.ac.in and complete pre-enrolment — confirm the programme and pay the seat-blocking fee — within the three-day window. Missing the window forfeits the seat for that round.
Stage 3 — Physical Verification on JNU Campus
Every candidate who blocks a seat must physically report to the JNU campus, New Delhi. Physical verification dates: July 6–14 for the first and second lists, August 3–4 for the final list.
During physical verification, university staff check all original documents against the application. Category certificates, OBC-NCL validity, and district quartile documents are verified on the spot. Missing or inconsistent documents result in cancellation of admission. No proxy or postal alternative is accepted.
Stage 4 — Admission Confirmation
After physical verification, admission is confirmed. Read more about JNU Admission 2026

For CUET PG-based programmes, JNU merit rank is determined by CUET PG 2026 score plus applicable deprivation points — not by raw score alone. Maximum deprivation points: 12 points.
District Quartile Points:
District Quartile | 10th / 12th Level | UG Level | Total for PG Applicants |
Quartile 1 (most deprived) | 3 points | 3 points | Up to 6 points |
Quartile 2 | 2 points | 2 points | Up to 4 points |
For 10th and 12th combined: if either is from Q1, Q1 points apply. Q2 points apply only if both are from Q2 districts.
Kashmiri Migrants: 5 points on production of registration documents from notified authorities.
Female and Transgender Candidates:
Category | Points |
SC / ST / OBC-NCL / PwBD / Quartile 1 / Quartile 2 | 7 points |
UR — not in Quartile 1 or 2 | 5 points |
Deprivation points do not apply to: MSc Biotechnology, MSc Computational and Integrative Sciences (GAT-B track), MBA, MTech CSE and ECE at School of Engineering, DOP, and PhD programmes.
Candidates must enter their district, state, and district code in the application form. Failure to produce documentary proof at physical verification cancels the benefit.
