110 New Colleges Got NOC from Rajasthan Government
The higher education department of Rajasthan Government has issued no objection certificates (NOCs) to 110 private colleges for the session 2015-16.

The certificates were issued four months after the start of new academic session. Now thousands of students who have taken admission in these institutions will get the respite.
Most of these colleges permitted to operate are undergraduate colleges while a few would also offer postgraduate programmes.
The enrolments in Rajasthan are among the lowest in the country. The move is expected to increase the number of student’s enrolment in the colleges.
“Last year, only 45 new colleges were granted permission. The permission to 110 colleges in a year shows our commitment towards increasing the gross enrolment ratio in the state," said higher education minister.
“The colleges which were refused NOC can fulfil their deficiencies and reapply till October 29. The surge in degree colleges can be attributed to the fact that entrepreneurs from education sector has shifted their focus from technical educational institutes like engineering and management to degree colleges,” he added further.
Few colleges were initially meant to function as engineering institutes, but due to lull response from the students, they transformed into degree colleges.
