200 Marks in JEE Mains Percentile January 2023: Know how much percentile is expected

The National Testing Agency released the JEE Main percentile score in multiple sessions since the authority has conducted the JEE Main exam 2023 in several sessions. JEE Main 2023 percentile vs marks is derived based on the previous years. NTA also releases the JEE Main 2023 result in the form of percentile scores. Note, JEE Main percentile scores are nothing but the normalized marks of the candidates. It is not the actual obtainable score. The normalization process is done since the JEE Main 2023 exam is conducted in several shifts and the difficulty level of the questions, and papers of all the shifts are not similar.  

NTA has explained the normalization method for calculating the JEE Main percentile score. The raw marks obtained in the JEE Main exam by a candidates will be converted to a percentile score in order to prepare the result. 

JEE Main 2023 January Session: 200 Marks Vs Percentile

JEE Main percentile score is used for comparing the performance of the test takers. JEE Main percentile is nothing but a percentage that indicates the percentage of the candidates, who score lower or equal to the particular score in the exam. Note, NTA will combine the raw marks of the candidates and then normalize to get the percentile score in each subject- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and also the overall scores. JEE main 2023 percentile score will also be used for compiling the JEE Main 2023 merit lists.
