Candidates must qualify theeligibility criteria of AIBEbefore applying for the exam. They must be Indian citizens with an undergraduate law degree like afive-year integrated law courseor athree-year LL.B. The candidates must also be enrolled in their respective State Bar Council and have an enrollment card of the same. There are no restrictions regarding the minimum requirement of marks or age for AIBE. Those who fulfil all these conditions canapply for AIBE.

Through AIBE, advocates get the "Certificate of Practice" which makes them eligible for practising law in India. All advocates are required to appear for this exam and qualify for it.
