Application for Italian Government Scholarship Scheme for Indian Students 2019-20 Begins

The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) – India has announced that the application process for theItalian Government Scholarship Schemefor the academic session 2019-20 is open now. The scholarship scheme is available for nine, six and three-month duration. The scholarship is offered to Indian students for pursuing higher studies (Master’s course) and research atItalian institutes for higher education.The scholarship scheme will be applicable to students joining in Italian public institutes or legally recognised institutes.

The nine and six-month duration scholarship covers the following subjects: -

• Chemistry
• Nanotechnologies
• Environmental Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Mathematics
• Physics
• Architecture
• Biology

On the other hand, the three-month duration scholarship scheme covers Italian language and Cultural course subjects.

Eligibility Criteria for Italian Government Scholarship Scheme: -

• Candidates who are willing to apply for theMaster’s coursemust note that a Bachelor’s degree from any recognised university is mandatory to be considered for the admission.
• The upper age limit of the candidates should not be more than 28 years as on May 30, 2019.
• The candidates who wish to apply forthe PhD coursemust meet the prescribed entry requirements and academic qualifications of an Italian varsity.
• PhD aspirants must provide a Letter of Acceptance on behalf of the relevant Italian university.
• The upper age limit of the PhD candidates should be more than 30 years as on May 30, 2019.
• Candidates applying forResearchunder academic supervisor must note that they will have to submit a Research Project and Letter of Admission on behalf of the host university. The applicants will have to provide the name and contact address of the supervisors.
• The upper age limit for applying to Research should not be more than 40 years as on May 30, 2019.

Italian Government Scholarship Scheme Application Process: -

• Firstly, interested Indian students must visit the official website of MHRD (Sakshat) to register for the scholarship scheme.
• Similarly, these candidates will also have to register through the official website of MAECI, Government of Italy.
• May 30, 2019, is the last date to apply for the Italian government scholarship scheme.
