Bihar Board Result to be Delayed due to Evaluation Process
- The evaluation process of Bihar Board exam was to be completed by 15 March but has been delayed.
- The board also introduced 50% objective questions in each subject to increase the pass percentage.
As per the reports, the board exam results for Bihar board intermediate and matriculation students will not be announced before the end of April 2018. The administration has already started with the evaluation process for answer sheets of Bihar board students from 5 March 2018. The evaluation process was to be completed by 15 March but the evaluation process is still going on in few centers. The result for the intermediate results was declared in the last of week May in 2017. The pass percentage in both the exams was dismal.

Last year, Bihar board had to face many controversies and it is the second year in a row that allegations were made regarding the irregularity in the evaluation process and delay in the result. A lot has been said about the misconduct and cheating during the examination. The board also introduced 50% objective questions in each subject to increase the pass percentage. They also introduced strict measure and security system to avoid any cheating and copying cases this year. As various cheating cases were reported every year during the board examination.

For the objective type questions students were provided with an OMR sheet along with an answer booklet to attempt the objective questions . Since it was the first time students were attempting answers on OMR sheets, there were reports that many students made mistakes while filling in the details.
