CBSE 12th Biology 2022-23: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the exam pattern and sample question paper for next year’s exam. The written examination will be conducted for 70 marks in total, and the rest will be conducted as an assessment. Students from the Science Stream may refer to the CBSE 12th Biology 2022-23 detailed marking scheme and question paper pattern while preparing for the exams. In 2022, the exams were held semester-wise to tackle the situation of the pandemic. However, in 2023, as per the question paper format released, it can be deduced that the exam will be conducted as one final exam, following the previous year’s pattern.

CBSE 12th Biology 2022-23: Question Paper Format

It is of utmost importance that students are aware of the questioning format to prepare well for the exams. So, here are some points directly related to the format of the question paper that candidates should note: 

• There will be a total of 33 questions in the Question Paper for a total of 70 marks. 
• The entire question paper will be divided into 5 sections for various marks in each section and question. 
• There will be no overall choice of questions, however, a few questions may have an internal choice of questions. In such cases, candidates shall attempt either one of the questions only. If any candidate attempts to answer both optional questions, the first answer will be regarded and the second will not be considered. 
• All questions will be compulsory. 
• Some/few questions may also include diagram-based questions. Candidates are expected to attempt such questions with clarity.
