Recently, the High Court of Delhi directed the Central Board of Secondary Education or CBSE to continue implementing the moderation policy. However, CBSE was not happy with the order of Delhi HC. According to sources, CBSE is planning to file a Special Leave Petition in Supreme Court against the order of Delhi HC. If CBSE files the Special Leave Petition in the apex court, the results of Class 12 examinations might be delayed further. However, there is no any official announcement from the board in this regard.

Now, the University of Delhi has written to the government seeking the intervention of HRD Ministry with regard to “appropriate weightage” requested by CBSE to its students for the admission to UG programmes.

Earlier, CBSE had written to Delhi University to provide relaxation to the CBSE students. However, the varsity replied that it could not change the admission policy that discriminates students belonging to various other state boards. The varsity clarified that it is not ready to give concession to CBSE students this year.

The varsity has already begun the application process for the admission to UG courses. June 12, 2017, is the last date to complete the registration process.
