Central Government to Accept Suggestions on National Education Policy
The government has to come up with something serves the long-term interest of the country.
The central government has taken the initiative to accept the suggestions proposed by various political parties on draft National Education Policy. The decision has been taken as the opposition parties have slammed the government that education system was being commercialised and communalized by the government.

Former Education Minister Mr. Kapil Sibal while addressing in Rajya Sabha mentioned that the government must accept the recommendations and suggestions of the opposition parties. HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar responded positively and said that the government was ready to hold a workshop for members of Parliament regarding the draft policy.

Mr.Kapil Sibal pointed out that the draft policy does not have three important aspects-quality, access and equity. He opined that the education system could survive if ideology is infused in textbooks. The government is trying to bring the change in the education system which is completely out of the ideology of draft policy.
He also criticised the attacks on SC/ST students by the government. He questioned that how could the government change the textbooks of history by attacking the minority communities. Finally, he advised the government to formulate the education policy keeping in mind the children of the country. The government has to come up with something serves the long-term interest of the country.
