The Stage 1 examination, conducted by the NTA on February 8, 2026, saw a significant turnout across 129 centres in 97 cities. A total of 21,307 unique candidates registered, resulting in 35,596 test entries for the General Ability Test (GAT) and Creative Ability Test (CAT) combined.
