The TSCHE (Telangana State Council for Higher Education) is framing a detailed plan to conduct Common Entrance Tests in online mode for all professional courses, including Agriculture, Pharmacy and engineering from the next year. The following are some of the CETs that will be conducted in online from 2018 onwards -

  • TS-LAWCET
  • TS-EDCET
  • TS-ECET
  • TS-PGCET
  • TS-ICET
  • TS-EAMCET

The major objective of TSCHE is to regulate question paper leaks and ensure transparency in the system. A decision regarding the same was taken in year. However, the state government was not feasible to conduct online CETs in 2017. Now, TSCHE will tie up with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to conduct online CETs in 2018.

Osmania University has already been conducting online PGECET since 2015. In 2017r, TS ECET was also conducted in online the mode. However, online TS-ECET resulted in various technical glitches, and students faced difficulty during the exam. Therefore, TSCHE will take extreme measures to ensure smooth conduct of online CETs.

According to the plan of TSCHE, the CETs will be conducted in multiple days depending on the number of candidates register for the exams. The council will ensure same difficulty level of the question paper. All CETs in 2018 will begin the month of May. Currently, TSCHE is in the process of appointing convenors and co-convenors for different CETs.

In April and May 2017, the government of Andhra Pradesh conducted all CETs in online mode. The plan was successful, and the state government will go ahead with the new system.
