Delhi University to introduce skill-oriented courses this year

Delhi University (DU) is set to start a skill-oriented course to enhance the learning experience and most importantly develop new skills. The university has crafted a total of 68 skill enhancement courses for all the 4-year undergraduate courses. The skill-based course will be implemented in the second semester. Apart from that students studying in the 3rd to 8th semester will also be eligible to opt for the course. Each student will have the freedom to select the course depending on their course. 

Major Highlights regarding DU Skill-Oriented Courses

• DU will be introducing 68 new skill-oriented courses soon
• The skill-based courses will help students to develop hard as well as soft skills
• DU will introduce the courses for all 4 years of Undergraduate courses 
• The SKill-oriented course will be implemented from the second semester 
• Candidates studying in the 3rd to 8th semester will also be eligible to select the course 

The university will be evaluating the course. Professor Payal Mago, the chairperson of the skill committee said that all 68 courses are scheduled to start soon. Once the skill-based courses are made available for students in future the subject and internship will be evaluated by the industry itself. 

The Skill oriented courses will train students to match industry standards and fulfil the requirement of the recruiters. While there are many hard skills or we can say subject-specific skills included in the skill-oriented courses. Delhi University has also included various soft skills to help them develop communication skills, basic intelligence skills and more.
