Demand for Technical Role Job Seekers Growing Fastest in India: LinkedIn
As per a LinkedIn report, the demand for technical experts and professionals is on the rise. The list of top 10 emerging jobs in India which includes roles like Machine Learning Engineer, Application Development Analyst, Customer Service Manager are among the most sought-after.
According to a recent study conducted by LinkedIn Global, a platform that facilitates job search, interaction and hiring, it has been drawn that technology-related jobs are on a rise. Indian professionals who wish to work in the capacity of a Machine Learning Engineer or App Development Analyst, the job market for them is huge and is only expected to grow in the coming years. These jobs fall under the category of top 10 jobs for professionals in India.
Backed by data between 2013 and 2017, it has shown that these technological roles have seen a multifold increase in these years. Machine Learning Engineer jobs have shown 43 times higher rate while those of Application Development Analyst has witnessed a 32 times higher rate between 2013 and 2017. The data was published in the 'Top 10 Emerging Jobs in India' report which was released by LinkedIn. An interesting aspect which was discovered in the process is that such job roles are not confined to tech companies only and is rather penetrating across sectors and industries such as banking, pharma, retail etc.
According to Feon Ang, Vice President (APAC), LinkedIn Talent and Learning Solutions, India has immense tech talent, who have in the past, shown tremendous success and have taken tech companies to an altogether new level. Hence, the fact that the among the list of the Top 10 Emerging Jobs in India, five revolve around technology and the core technical skills. These skills combined with certain soft skills are critical to the success of any company, in today's time.

Positioned at number 6, Customer Success Manager (CSM) job roles are also emerging in India as they are critical to helping, onboarding, influencing, retaining customers, both for tech and non-tech firms. Relationship building and effective communication skills are imperative in any business environment.
The LinkedIn report was released after carefully analysing the data of the last years with an objective to identify the fastest-growing as well as the upcoming jobs in India. It recorded the highest ever frequency of growth in this latest report results.
