DTE Updates MH-CET Admission Process 2016
DTE allows admission to JEE students in All India Quota.
About 60,000 engineering seats are still left vacant in the fourth round of CAP, according to the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra.
Centralised Admission Process (CAP) is conducted by the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test 2016 (MHT-CET) .
According to DTE, 15% of the total seats in engineering colleges are out for admission via the JEE Main score.
The left 2,300 seats fall under the All India Quota which will be filled via the JEE Main paper-1 score.
In order to get admission via the JEE main score, students need to register themselves by filling in the option for fourth round of CAP.
According to the Director of DTE Maharashtra, S K Mahajan, taking MHT-CET 2016 is not a compulsion for such students. First preference will be given to students who gave the MHT-CET 2016. Remaining seats will be allocated to the JEE students.
