GITAM Hosts Three-Week Overseas Immersion Programme (OIP)
- The team of 15 students accompanied by two faculties from Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore arrived at GITAM on March 05 to take part in Overseas Immersion Programme (OIP).
- The three-week OIP will provide them exposure to Indian history, culture and heritage.
For the first time,Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management, also known asGITAM(deemed to be university) is hosting a three-weekOverseas Immersion Programme (OIP).Over 15 students fromNgee Ann Polytechnic, Singaporeaccompanied by two faculty members from Info Commerce and Accounting Department of the Ngee Ann Polytechnic visited GITAM on March 05, 2018, to take part in OIP.
Vice-Chancellor of GITAM, Professor MS Prasada Rao welcomed the gathering. An interactive session was organised on the first day. GITAM Pro Vice-Chancellor and Director of Foreign Student Affairs addressed the gathering.
Faculty members from Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Anand and Linda stressed on the significance of Overseas Immersion Programmes in theeducation curriculum of Singapore. The institute is also looking forward to strengthening the academic ties through student exchange programmes, they explained.

Fintech Academy Coordinator at GITAM, Mr. Leben Johnson assured a memorable learning experience to the students as a part of OIP. He remembered that theMBA(Fintech) students of GITAM visited Ngee Ann Polytechnic in January 2018, and had an outstanding learning experience and exposure.
The three-week OIP will provide the students of Singapore-based College an exposure to Indian culture, history and heritage. The programme will also provide awareness onstart-up initiatives of Andhra Pradesh government,Fintech ecosystemandtourism.

GITAM has also invited the 15 students to take part in GUSAC event starting from March 13, 2018. With a motive to provide an insight of student lifestyle within the hostels, GITAM has provided accommodation to Singapore students at GITAM hostels.
