Talking about the objectives of Modi-led government, he said that to make a great nation focus on education is necessary and that is the direction in which all the educationists and academicians must be walking.

Teachers also gave a memorandum to the minister while he addressed the gathering at the school.

Expressing his gratitude at having received a memorandum, Javadekar said that receiving a memorandum is an essential part of any addressing ceremony as without it the minister who is attending the programme wouldn’t know what needs to be done as part of the improvement drive.

Call education to be an emancipating project and an agent of change, Javadekar said that after discussions with the Prime Minister and the former HRD Minister, he will come up with a plan to take education to the next level.

During the interaction with students, Javadekar also talked about his mother and said his mother was also a primary teacher.
