IIM Bangalore Conducts Vista 2020 with the Theme 'Portraits of Progress'
Dr. Kiran Bedi was the Chief Guest of the event and conducted the inauguration ceremony at IIM Bengaluru's Annual Business Summit Vista 2020. The event included speaker sessions from notable economists Dr. Raghuram Rajan and Dr. Viral Acharya.
The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) has conducted its Annual Business Summit named Vista 2020. The summit was conducted from Oct 31 to Nov 1 with the theme 'Portraits of Progress'. The summit celebrated ideas and leaders who have been shaping the world's economy for the last two decades.
The Chief Guest of Vista 2020 was Dr Kiran Bedi, the Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry. She inaugurated the summit along with Prof. Abhoy K Ojha, the Dean of Programmes at IIMB, and Prof. Padmini Srinivasan, the Char of PGP at IIMB. Dr. Bedi shared her experience as the Puducherry LG and shared insights on True Governance while also interacting with the audience in a Q&A session.
Vista 2020 was a 2-day online event in which participants heard from several notable speakers including Dr. Raghuram Rajan, the former Governor of the RBI. Many exciting events and competitions with a focus on problem-solving and innovative approach were also conducted as a part of the event. Cash prizes up to Rs. 1,00,000 were earned by the winners.

A number of Workshops were also conducted as a part of Vista 2020. These workshops facilitated knowledge-sharing from prominent business leaders and experts and covered several topics from Product Management and Digital Marketing to the Importance of Personal Finance and Personal Branding. Participants of these workshops were given E-Certificates by IIMB.
Dr Viral Acharya, Professor of Economics at NYU Stern, also spoke at the event and touched several important topics in his session. The COVID-19 impact on the global economy, availability of COVID vaccine in India, universal healthcare etc. were detailed in his speech.
