IIM Rohtak to Initiate Common Admission Process (CAP) for Nine IIMs
- IIM Rohtak will be organising the Common Admission Process (CAP) 2018 for nine out of the thirteen new IIMs.
- Admission to these nine institutes will be conducted on the basis of the WAT and PI conducted by IIM Rohtak CAP 2018.
Indian Institute of Management, Rohtak will conduct CAP (Common Admission Process) for the admission into nine IIMs across the country for the academic session 2018-20. Out of 13 new IIMs, a total number of nine IIMs have decided to take part in CAP 2018. Following are the nine IIMs that will participate in CAP 2018: -
- IIM Udaipur
- IIM Trichy
- IIM Sirmaur
- IIM Sambalpur
- IIM Rohtak
- IIM Ranchi
- IIM Raipur
- IIM Kashipur
- IIM Bodhgaya

It is not the first time that IIM Rohtak has been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting CAP. IIM Rohtak also conducted CAP in 2017. The CAP 2018 will begin after the declaration of CAT 2017 results. The following are the activities that will be conducted by IIM Rohtak through CAP 2018: -
- Shortlisting of candidates on the basis of CAT 2017 percentile
- Conducting WAT (Written Ability Test) for the shortlisted candidates
- Personal Interview (PI)
This year, over 2.31 lakh candidates registered for Common Admission Test (CAT) and 3,300 candidates will have a chance to get admission in IIMs.

About Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI): -
- Experts will test the writing skills of the candidates through WAT.
- A panel will conduct a Personal Interview (PI) for the candidates who have appeared for WAT
- For CAP 2018, the WAT and PI process will begin in mid-February 2018.
- After the announcement of CAT 2017 results, IIM Rohtak will release the exact dates of WAT and PI.
IIM Rohtak will conduct CAP 2018 in all the major cities such as Bangalore, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi and Chennai.
