IIT Guwahati Announces its Distance PhD Admissions

IIT Guwahati invites applications for its Doctorate programmes (PhD) through distance mode in various subjects at its campus. The doctoral programmes are being offered in various disciplines like Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biosciences and Bioengineering, Civil Engineering, Design, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Mathematics, Centre for the Environment, Humanities and Social Sciences, Centre for Linguistic Science and Technology, Centre for Energy, Centre for Nanotechnology and Centre for Rural Technology.

Eligibility Criteria for IIT Guwahati Distance PhD :

Engineering: Masters in technology/ engineering/ medical sciences/ pharmacy /veterinary sciences or related field with 60 percent aggregate or at least 6.5 CPI .

Design: M.Design or MA Arch or M.Tech or ME in related field with 60 percent aggregate or at least 6.5 CPI.

Science: Masters in technology/ engineering/ design in a related field with at least 60 percent aggregate or 6.5 CPI.

Humanities and Social Science: MA / M.Comm/ M.Sc with at least 55 percent aggregate or equal grade

Selection Process at IIT Guwahati for Distance PhD:

Eligible candidate will be selected on the basis of GATE/ NET/ CEED/ INSPIRE scores. Besides that, there will be a written entrance exam. It will be followed by an interview round or a portfolio round.
