Indian Red Cross Society Signs Pact with Rayat Bahra University to Create Awareness
Avinash Rai Khanna, Chairman of IRCS, revealed that students would learn and trained on various topics like first-aid and disaster response mechanism.
Indian Red Cross Society or IRCS has collaborated with Rayat Bahra University to prepare communities to face disasters and adopt climatic changes through holding awareness programmes and educating people. For this purpose, IRCS and Rayat Bahra University signed an agreement to incorporate various subjects like hygiene promotion and water sanitation, adoption of climatic change and others. Both the organisations have decided to design certification programmes in these fields as well as related fields.

Avinash Rai Khanna, Chairman of IRCS, revealed that students would taught and trained on various topics like first-aid and disaster response mechanism. He hoped that the collaboration would bring the mutual expertise and strength which are beneficial to partners.
Veera Bhushan, Joint Secretary of IRCS, outlined the various salient features of the Memorandum of Understanding or the MoU. He explained that the initial term of collaboration would be of three years and both the partners will work within the mandates of each organisation and follow the humanitarian principles at par with the Red Cross Movement that is taking place worldwide.

Raj Singh, Vice-Chancellor of the varsity, mentioned that the participation of students in voluntary activities in communities has increased in the last few years. There is a need to motivate a high number of students to take up voluntary activities and educate the society on various aspects. Therefore, the varsity has signed a pact with IRCS.
