Intra-college sports events at Nalanda Medical College

Nalanda Medical College and Hospital is observing its sports week. The sports week has a plethora of sports events. “The matches are being played amongst the students of different batches and also amongst the teachers and the students.” Informed Alok Ranjan, one of the co-ordinators from 2012 batch M.B.B.S. The teachers won the opening match of the sports week.

The inauguration was done by Dr. (Mrs.) Sivakumari Prasad and Dr. Rajesh Tiwari who is also the sports in-charge, on 15th March.The various sports events at NMCH, Sports week are:

• Cricket
• Table Tennis
• Badminton
• Carrom
• Ludo
• Chess

The coordinators also informed CollegeDekho that two matches viz. 2012 batch vs the teachers and 2012 vs 2015 were played and won by teachers and 2012 batch respectively.The second day of the event witnessed a match between the 2014 batch and the 2015 batch in which 2014 batch batted first raising a score of 109 runs in 16 overs giving the 2015 batch a target of 110 runs in 16 overs.

The sports events have started from 15th March and will continue till 2016 to 20th March 2015. The premises of Nalanda Medical College seemed to be charged up with energy and festivity. The college is hosting its college foundation day in the first week of next month i.e. April 2016. The foundation week will also witness several cultural events.
